Thanks to everyone who came out for Saturday's event! The turnout for our third annual event wasn't as big as last year's, but for good reason -- both the Radford High School boys and girls basketball teams were in Richmond WINNING the state championships! Congratulations to both Bobcat teams! 

Even with most of the town in Richmond, we still had more than 100 participants on a sunny, but windy, morning. Race results are available online at www.onlineraceresults.com.

Thanks again to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered and helped with this worthwhile event to raise money for the McHarg Elementary Honeybee fund, which helps local families in need. We'll see you next year!
Date: Saturday, March 12, 2011 (rain or shine)
Race Time: 9:30 a.m.
Registration Begins: 8:30 a.m.
Where: Bisset Park, Radford, VA

5K Individual Entry Fee:
  • $15 - includes t-shirt for runners pre-registered by March 4, 2011
  • $20 - day of the race

5K High School or College Sport Team Fee:
  • $50

Fun Run Entry Fees (12 & under):
  • $5 - includes t-shirt for runners pre-registered by March 4, 2011
  • 1-mile run/walk, 100-yard dash (4-7 yrs.) and Diaper Dash (3 & under)
  • Trophies to first-place boys and girls (1-mile run), ribbons for all participants
  • Begins immediately after the 5K event

Registration: Begins at 8:30 a.m., at Shelter No. 2 in Bisset Park. Race packets for 5K may be picked up between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m. Fun Run packets may be picked up from 9:15-10 a.m.

The Course: All races begin inside the park near Shelter No. 2. The 5K Run and 5K walk course are level and proceed along the Riverway. Strollers are allowed on the 5K course. Every mile will be marked.
